i feel like a lot of pop music is just fighting an uphill battle. they also are very superficial, focusing mainly on the image, rarely on the message. i get that it may give you a sense of empowerment, but when you create a following those people easily influenced and sooner or later they begin to think that whatever you’re promoting is all that matters. pop artists who do this i do not feel sorry for when they are “slandered” in the media, not that i agree with being slandered, but they have shown no real character so they do not have my sympathy. Besides, i never buy those tabloids because i dont support the celebrity being slandered or the magazine slandering them. I think that fame is just based on appearances, and thats what people crave along with gossip. but…should image and money compromise our morals? should they dictate what’s right for the sake of money and a boost to your career/ego?
this is why i hate most pop music. they have no real substance.
